Who are Butter Block?

If you’re like us you’ll know that snow days in the UK are rare, indoor slopes and dry slopes aren’t always accessible. Yet, progression in snowboarding depends on consistency, repetition and confidence. We believed there had to be a better way to train when winter is months away.

That’s where Butter Block training mats and accessories come in.

Our products are designed for beginners learning the basics, freestyle riders dialling in tricks, and experienced snowboarders who want to stay connected to the sport they love — no matter the weather or location.

Based in the Uk, we understand the challenges of riding without easy access to snow. That’s why everything we do is focused on accessibility, practicality and progression.

These aren’t toys or gimmicks — they’re training tools built to help riders improve between trips, rebuild confidence after time off, or prepare before heading back to the mountains.

Butter Block Environmental Commitment

At Butter Block Ltd, the butter pad is at the heart of everything we do — and our relationship with it is, honestly, complicated.

We love it because it works: it lets snowboarders train anywhere, build balance, board control, confidence and muscle memory, and keep progressing year-round when the mountains are out of reach. But we don’t pretend it’s perfect. Our pads are made from plastic, and normal use can create small plastic fragments — something we take seriously. Plastic delivers the realistic feel and durability riders expect, but it comes with an environmental cost, and we won’t ignore that.

So we face it head on. While we continue researching better materials and improved designs, we’re taking responsibility today. For every butter pad sold, we plant one tree — not a perfect fix, but a meaningful step that supports ecosystems and helps absorb carbon over time.
